Weber Resurrection Kit - Q2 Series

4.8 (1.1k)
$410.00 AUD

Four parts. One barbecue that works like it did new.

Weber Qs don't die all at once. They go one part at a time, and each failure gets worked around until the workarounds are the way you cook. The igniter goes, so you light it with a match. The burner corrodes, so you learn which corner runs hot. The knob cracks, the hose hardens.

None of it is worth replacing a barbecue over. All of it together is why yours isn't much fun anymore.

This kit replaces every part that fails on a Q2, in one go.

The Python Burner

The part that actually wears out, and the one worth upgrading rather than matching. Weber's burner is a straight tube that heats a line down the middle of the plate. On a Q2 that leaves most of the surface in the gap. The Python loops the perimeter and returns through the centre, so the whole plate gets heat instead of one strip. Original mounting points, five-minute swap.

The adjustable LPG regulator and hose

Old hose hardens and cracks at the crimps. This replaces it, and adds something the original never had: you set the baseline pressure yourself. Dial it down and the barbecue's whole range comes down with it, into the territory roasting and slow cooking need. Dial it back for everyday grilling.

The ignition kit

The first thing to go on almost every Q. Restores one-click lighting and ends the match-and-lean-back routine.

The control knob

Small part, disproportionate irritation. Cracked or spinning knobs make fine adjustment impossible, which undoes the point of an adjustable regulator.

Why do it in one go

Each part alone is a small improvement you'd notice for a week. Together they compound — even heat across the plate is worth more when you can hold a low temperature, and holding a low temperature needs a knob that actually grips. Fixing one part usually makes the next weakest part obvious, which is why people end up doing this over three separate orders anyway.

On a Q2 the burner does more of the work than it does on a Q1. It's a bigger plate fed by the same single straight tube, so the cold area you're recovering is larger.

One order, one afternoon, and the barbecue is done.
