Adjustable LPG regulator and hose for Weber Q – dial in your own pressure

Your burner knobs don't control pressure. They control flow.

Every Weber Q ships with a fixed regulator. It delivers one pressure, always, and your control knobs just open and close the valve downstream of it. Fine for most cooking, limiting the rest of the time:

• Low-and-slow sits higher than you want it
• The lowest setting still creeps past 150°C on a warm day
• Heat drifts as the bottle empties
• Two Weber Qs side by side run differently and you can't do anything about it

An adjustable regulator adds the control the fixed one doesn't give you. Set your baseline pressure, then use the knobs as normal.

What this actually changes

Turn it down and the whole operating range shifts down with it. A Q that bottoms out around 160°C will sit near 110°C and hold there — the range roasting and slow cooking live in, which a stock Q struggles to reach.

Turn it back up and you're at standard Weber pressure for everyday grilling.

It's the difference between four usable settings and a full dial.

⚠️ Important – read before ordering

• This is a low-pressure regulator. Do not substitute a high-pressure regulator, meaning anything rated in PSI. Those are built for wok and jet burners and will over-gas a Weber.
• Set the regulator to your appliance's rated pressure for normal use. The adjustment is there to go down from standard, not up.
• Confirm your bottle valve is POL and your Weber's inlet is 3/8" SAE female flare.
• If you're not confident working on gas, use a licensed gas fitter.

Why replace the regulator and hose

LPG hose perishes. It hardens, cracks at the crimps, and stops sealing well before the barbecue wears out. Most gas fitters treat anything past ten years as due.

If your hose is on borrowed time anyway, replacing it with an adjustable unit costs little more than a like-for-like swap and gives you something the original never did.

Installation

• Hand-tighten the POL nut onto your cylinder. It's a left-hand thread, so it turns anticlockwise to tighten.
• Connect the 3/8" SAE flare to your Weber's inlet
• Set the dial to standard before first light
• Leak-test every joint with soapy water. Bubbles mean a leak. Never test with a flame.
